Is anybody else on the overnight haul from newhaven to dieppe on tuesday night? we used this last year and found it pretty good, we did do the weds morning last year but figured to get to the circuit early and see some of the practice is always nice.

This crossing but not til Thursday. Think it is pretty good as well as nice big seats to try and kip although arrive a bit knacked. Have used LD lines last few years and pretty good bar (stella) and food.

Gang of us using it on the Wednesday night, LD are a pain though, tried to get out from Portsmouth to LeHavre and back Dieppe/Newhaven but as the latter is operated by Transmanche, you can't do it unless you buy two singles....much more money.

I think I'm going to do this route too. 11am Sunday outwards and 5am Monday 18th back to UK. Will cost 100, which is better than Britanny Ferries 350!!

Were in a silver mk4 golf with bikes on the back, i like it because its fairly straight forward the other side, and cheap, LD can be unhelpful to say the least! Done cherbourg a fiew times and that was ok, le havre is a dump but if you stop in a town called hanfleur for a bite to eat its truely beautiful, especially if youve got a while to wait for the monday evening crossing. were on the sunday night dieppe ferry so miss the end of the race and all the traffic :-)

I'm going to look at this for next year if prices haven't changed wildly. Adds 200 miles to our journey round trip, but saves 250. Brittany this year, maybe Newhaven Dieppe next year.

Thanks for the reminder, knocks 100 miles off the drive and only costs 77.

However to get it that cheap I am going to be going out a 11pm Tuesday and back at 530am Monday!

Its worth the hassle I can have a leisurely Sunday evening and be home by midday on Monday, I hate hanging about on Monday.

The drive to LM from dieppe is so easy, and the port is like a drive thru mcdonalds you just drive straight of the bypass into the port
