Manifold picture
Discussion
Hello. Does anyone have a picture of the manifolds fitted to the engine? Just in the process of having new turbos fitted but the chap doing it must have done something wrong as the rear exhaust pipe will not line up. It's about two inches out. The turbos are fitted so the front one is not parallel with the engine but there doesn't seem to be a picture anywhere to check against. Cheers, Troy
to clarify its not possible to fit the manifolds on the incorrect side as each bank is different.... so if they are fitted you have to have one of each.
it is distinctly possible that the manifold is on upside down as BOTH sides are reversible... I know for sure as I reversed both my manifolds and designed a system to suit

well Im pretty certain in the UK they are identical dimensionally.... I also removed my M12 manifolds and fitted M400's in their place and they were identical dimensions and angles... my M400 manifolds were removed from an M400 as well.
So I have no idea what the manual is talking about!
either the manifold is on upside down, you have non genuine noble manifold or the new exhaust isnt made properly

I have just had my manifolds off to be milled and when they went back on my exhaust was not lining up by about 2 inches, one of the long hanging lugs had just got slightly bent, sign of mistreatment by the mechanic being a bit heavy handed, we bent the bar back until it lined up again.
If you do this make sure you lever against the exhaust so as not to stress the manifolds or the exhaust side connection to the turbos.
with regards to the manifolds.. with mine they only seem to go a certain way and the lug for the knee brace stops you putting them upside down.

Got the car back. Spent the morning putting the floor back on. The good news is I now have boost. It's not running quite right though but after a bit of a run out it's seemed a little better. Doesn't like to be put under any kind of load until it's warm. Plan is to run it for a while and see how it goes, fingers crossed it's just a winter standing kind of issue.
