Are they honestly that bad?
We have a CDI pool car at work and it has replaced the Passat as the one car people refuse when they need to use one. The steering wheel is from a 1970's British Leyland product and doesn't seem to be connected to the wheels properly, the engine on that model is awful. I've not tried the petrol cars and I'm not sure if they do a better diesel or not. The interior is cheap and nasty and it's not that comfortable. There's much better cars in that sector and it's still miles off it's main competitor the Mondeo.IMO!
I wasn't actually looking for one, just wondered how much they were depreciating.
A chap at work bought a brand new SRI one around two years ago now. It had everything on it and he spent a lot more than £20k on it. He rages on about how it is the best car in the world, so I thought I'd pass him some info about how they are holding their prices
