Rhodes - any recommendations?

I've stayed at the Lindos mare Hotel (our son chose to get married there). Excellent accommodation, pool, food, etc etc. Big central pool, smaller plunge pool down near the beach. On several levels but lifts also.
Easy walk (maybe not for young children) to the old Village and beaches of Lindos. Lots of good eating and drinking places there. Less than 10 Euro for a taxi to there.
We hired a people carrier for a day and toured the South of the Island. Some nice beaches to the SE, IIRC, and some great scenery. Other guests took a bus North to the capital for a day. You can also do day-trips to nearby Turkey from there.
Some of the family liked it so much they've been back to stay at the same hotel since.
