TOYOTA RAV - 4 AUTOMATIC 2003 REG.

[TD 111]

I HAVE A 2003 AUTO RAV -4.MY WIFE TELLS ME THAT IT WONT CHANGE UP, AS IF THE ACCELERATORS STUCK AND THE REV COUNTER SHOOTS HIGH AND THE ENGINE REVS LOUDLY AND THE GEAR DOESNT CHANGE UP.
IT DOESNT DO IT ALL THE TIME AND THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT OCCASIONALLY COMES ON THEN STAYS OFF.
THE GEARBOX OIL WAS CHANGED AT 2 ND SERVICE BUT ISNT DUE TILL 60OOO BUT IT ONLY HAS 46000 MILES BUT OIL BLACK.
I HAVE HAD IT TO TOYOTA WHO HAVE TRIED HARD BUT OBVIOUSLY WONT REPAIR FOR FREE.


The Toyota diagnostic machine shows the following:


P0750 SOLENOID 'A' SHIFT

P0755 -SOLENOID 'B'

P0758 - SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE - NUMBER 2 CIRCUIT


ECU CODE-89661-42683

CAN ANYONE PLEASE SHED A SIMPLISTIC APPROACH TO THIS OR A COMPANY WHO DOESNT RIP YOU OFF AND KNOW THIS KIND OF PROBLEM INSIDE OUT.
