After having first driven it last July, & buying it in November - I finally picked my car up yesterday with all the mods complete.

woohoowoohoo

A big thanks to Matt & Dave for the great service, of course, but also for all the advice and help from people here - even if most of it did cost me money!

It's a very different beast to anything I've had before - and is it loud! - but it's surprising how quickly I have got comfortable with it - loving every minute. biggrin

I've put 200 gentle miles on the engine so far - another 300 to go and it's back to Dave next week for oil change and final check over then it's time for mapping as soon as possible. Can't wait !! smile

Regards

Graham

OK - not even had chance to clean it yet but here it is now! smile

mod list is a bit long but -

It already had :

Roush Exhaust & Cats
Pro Alloy Intercooler, Radiator & Hard Pipe kit
Track Day Sump
6 speed box with LSD

It now also has :

Forged Pistons
HD bottom end
Uprated Box (shot peaned gears, HD steel cased bearings etc)
Helix 6 paddle Ceramic Clutch & Uprated Pressure Plate
Fidanza Flywheel
Daddysumo Lightweight Crank Pulley - thanks Steve smile
HD Engine Mounts
Full Race Heads (Dave's description?)
Uprated Valve Springs
Piper Reprofiled Cams
GT2860RS Turbos
Alunox 321 stainless Exhaust Manifolds
Twin 044 Fuel Pumps & High Flow Filter
Bigger Injectors
Colder Plugs
Front mounted Engine Oil Cooler
Front mounted Gearbox Oil Cooler
Empty bank rolleyes

I think that must be about it as far as the actual mods go - things kind of grew as we went along biggrin

Put another 75 miles on it today - absolutely loving it but this "no full throttle, no boost, no more than 3000 revs" is getting a little old!

Roll on getting to mapping! lick

Regards

Graham

Well, I would rather think of it as my new car smile, but yes it was owned by PH'er Twerlie in the past.

It's Porsche Zenith Blue and it changes colour quite markedly in different lighting conditions - from really quite dark blue/purple in shade to quite a light purple in bright sunshine.

Took it out for the day and drove down toi the Cotswolds today, so miles on the new engine are up to 433 now!
