Please recommend someone to restore a 1977 Spider Veloce
Discussion
Hello, y'all y'all. I would be grateful for recommendations of classic Alfa restorers in the South East/East Anglia The car is pretty knackered, but I hope that it is not a total basket case. I am looking to restore the car to good, solid, usable and shiny condition, but am not looking to win any prizes, or to make money (an impossibility, anyway, at this level of the classic market - this is a labour of love - my love, and money, someone else's labour, please - not a sound economic proposition). I have a few quid to put into the project, but I do not have an unlimited piece of string. I have neither the time, skills, nor facilities to do the job myself. I am aware of most of the names to conjure with, but would like to hear from any satisfied customers. No naming and shaming, as usual , but please tell me which ones are the good guys. Thanks.
You probably already know this one but just in case...

The restoration workshop! Think there about 10 cars on the go at any one time!

A finished beauty!

Thanks all. Mr Ellis is currently in the lead. There used also to be a place near Royston in Herts. Does anyone recommend that place? Forum rules as usual - if you haven't something pleasant to say, please say nothing!
Jamie Porter, not sure how much he does on restorations these days.To give a bit more detail, the car was once in pretty good nick, but it has rot in the arches, and probably elsewhere. It has been standing in a dry shed for about four years. The clutch may be dead, the gearbox needs a good check over, and the top end of the two litre twincam probably needs a rebuild. The Dellortos probably just need a bit of cleaning and fiddling about with. The whole car needs spraying. The interior needs little work. The car is fairly complete and mostly quite original.

Based in the South East, top quality work. Good experience of 105 series cars.

Many thanks for all recommendations, people. I have been reviewing my budget and cashflows, and, because I might be about to add two additional classics to my collection, I will probably keep the Spider in storage for another ten months to a year and have it done next winter-spring. I will wake the project back up if my proposed acquisitions fall through.
