The search function is once again broken. I have driven to the Alps several times, however they we direct "get there as quick as possible" trips. Once at Geneva I know the good roads up to Morzine after living there for a few winters. I am trying to plan a trip there again, during this summer.

So, I would like to know the best way to get to Geneva by car, but without just sitting on the main toll roads.

I intend to do it in one hit, but could be persuaded to stop one night somewhere...

My preference would be Autoroute from Calais to Reims (gets the dull bit of NE France out the way quickly and that bit isn't too expensive) then the D/N roads towards Besancon (sp?) and then the twisties through the Jura mountains to Geneva.
