No CCTV or offices that overlook the carpark? Was is an office carpark? If so, culprit will probably be back sometime.

It looks like it has been backed in to by a truck as the damage is quite high on the door.
Looks like I will have to go through the insurance as there's quite a bit of damage to the rear quarter panel, though will look at a second hand door.

My car got kicked in (mk4 R32 Golf) on the second failed attempt at nicking the alloys. It did look similar to that - no scuff marks, double dent, etc. I'd say failed break in or you've upset someone.1 - metal to metal would tend to cause paint damage

Same thing happened to my old man's e class about 10 years ago. Dad parked outside my Gran's house and it was so obvious that the person pulling out of the drive opposite just crunched his side door. Makes your blood boil that people don't have the decency to own up to this type of thing!
