MOT tomorrow

so tell me this why have my lights been working fine
all year and tonight when checking things for mot do
the head lights come on with the side lights, bad
earth somewhere hope i will get away with it and sort
it out later, had a look tonight but cant find it so far

Do your dipped beams come on less than full power?

If they do then they are meant to, it's the Dim-Dip function. Pull out the Dim-Dip Module (black relay looking thing in the rats nest) and only side lights should come on.

Perfectly legal with or without Dim-Dip.

Yes i think your right looked in the bible last night.
i don't think it did it before, only had it 3 years

I only found out when I looked at swapping the headlights over to a relay system directly from the battery to get them a little brighter. I spent ages examining the wiring diagram before I understood what was going on, then I went and read about the Dim-Dip module in another section and it all made sense!

Passed MOT the dim dip was fine did just over 8000 miles last
year i started to work out the cost of fuel about 2000 ish
just over 160 a month so as i,v had it up on ramps in the garage
all last month doing engine mounts and manifolds and things that cost
about 70 i!m up about 90, now what can i spend that on
