Down in Guildford for the wifes graduation, and want to book a decent meal somewhere - only snag is the in-laws are coming too, and they don't do foreign, or else I'd have just booked Thai Terrace.

What are our best options for traditional type food in walking distance of the town centre?

I've heard either of the 2 Resturants in the raddison hotel at the top of town are pretty decent. One more up market than the other. Also Cau on the upper high st is a good steak Resturant and is a new sub division of Gaucho.
