Battery Guitar Amp?

I am finding myself quite fancying taking an electric guitar up to our log cabin (fancy term for shed in a field) so's I can scare the st out of the local wildlife with my pathetic Jimmy Page impersonations. Trouble is of course is that there's no mains electric up there, and I don't really fancy running a genny.

So naturally I'm thinking of an amp that'll run off a 12V DC battery. Thing is, the obvious choice would be to go for a busker amp, but they tend to only have dinky little speakers, 8" or so. I'm not looking for portability as such, the thing can sit in the shed when I'm not there, but I would like a decent bit of sound - I had a little practice amp a few years ago and frankly it sounded ste, so I'm a bit wary of the small stuff.

So any ideas for a decent sounding amp/combo that I can power with 12V?

have a look on youtube at pig nose amps. they are battery powered and sound great for blues.

I have a roland micro cube, it has a really good range of features and sounds much better than it should for its size. I don't know how long batteries will last though as I always plug mine in.
