What a terrible colour. I was going to read the article to check where it said that this was like a Peugeot 205 GTi fueled on 20 year old Scotch, but the front of the car immediately made me think of this:And distracted me from my intention.
... with a horrendous looking bulbous small car that has the power of 2 malnourished cyclists, in a colour that Honda Jazz owners would describe as 'a bit old lady'. Back indeed, It's like they never left.
It's designed purely for economy. Think more 3 cylinder Corsa econobox than Peugeot Rallye revival. I'll bet you a dollar to a dime that the flowery words Autocar use to describe the sewing machine up front is a load of tittysprinkles. It'll be interesting for 10 minutes before it gets tiresome.

I can never find the 'Not sure if serious' meme when I need it. It may not look that pretty but I would give it a chance. The kerb weight for instance is under 1000kgs, I don't think there are too many small hatches that weigh less than that now.
I think that dynamically it may be rather a good car. I doesn't matter that it can't do 150mph or 0-62 in under 5 seconds, it is probably a hoot around corners. If Peugeot makes a good old fashioned 'Ralleye' edition with a bit more weight chopped off it. they may be onto a winner again.
