Advice on Tyre Pressures
Discussion
Guys
I have 'Gaz Gold' Shocks to my 2000 450 Chim......can anyone advise or recommended Tyre pressures please?. Standard TVR Wheels (original fitting) plus Dunlop SP SPT 9000 Tyres....I have been told to go 'as high' as 30F / 30R but this seems a lot. Use is as (reasonably) fast weekend car - no track days. Any help gratefully recieved.
Thanks Alan P

24 F and 26 R is what i found after some searching and happy with that comprimise, so far on Toyo Proxie R
Same here with SP9000 on the front and FK452's on the back - good pressure for everyday driving, although I do also use 23F and 25R so cant make my mind up which is best.haircutmike said:
Only experimented with higher pressures above 22/24 on track, result little grip!

HmmmI do wonder about this. You increase the pressure, go out on track, really heat the tyres up (and therefore the air inside), which further increases the tyre pressure.
There is a school of thought that suggests that you reduce the tyre pressure by a couple of pounds for track days.
