Just to let potential buyer know the full story on the car forsale @ TARGET CARS BV
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3729444.htm

is my old car!

I noticed that they have not mentioned the damage or Cat C status and would hate anybody to get caught out without knowing the FULL story!

That seems to be Target's policy... They buy everything as-is, do no repair work themselves, en sell without warranty or car history. I guess there seems to be a market for it, not my piece of cake personally.

I noticed that as well Andy. I had a look at yesterday. The 16" wheels always give it away

Good find, as said before you have to keep your eyes open at Target. In Holland we are not used to such things as Cat C or D, thats why he doesn't mention it.
I live 15 minutes from where they are but its not my favorite place ;-)

I had to look twice at that car as I thought it was our old alloy pearl car, but I can't for the life of me remember the last 3 digits of the reg plate.

A couple of things don't look right with it, the seats and the rear diffuser. Our 2005 (55) plate car had the Tuscan seats (plus they matched the rest of the interior) and the diffuser was painted, but the car in the pics doesn't appear to have the diffuser painted.

Diffuser paint was optional extra.

i enquired about this car before buying mine...the dealer was very helpful and honest and sent photos, etc. If its still there there is a small crack in the front wing which put me off as the owner has lived with for years apparently. In the end we couldnt come to a deal...trade in/cash/repair...that i was happy with. Great looking car and spec so worth a look if you are in the market for a tam. I was willing to buy it as is but when i got a quote for repair it was anything from £1200 to £2500 as the damage may be more than it looks and the upper value put me off a bit. Like i say still worth a look...lovely colour too...not many in rolex?

I looked at the purple one about 6 months ago (it's been up for sale for quite a while), and IMO it's in need of a lot of work. Every alloy is curbed, the cracks in the front need sorting (as mentioned above), the interior is in need of attention, and it could do with a full respray as the front is covered in stone chips and there are scratches on other panels! Shame as it does look good in the pics and it's a lovely colour.

This poor old Tam really seems to be doing the rounds - incase anyone is interested in filling in history gaps I owned it in 2010 (iirc) for about 8 months. It was a cat C (repaired) when I bought it, and had been serviced by Track V Road who vouched for the condition and "straightness", I never had any problems with it at all. One thing which hasn't been mentioned any of the times I've seen it for sale is the fact it had the engine rebuilt by TVR Power (can't remember when, but within 2 years before I bought it) - I had this confirmed by Dom. It was slightly rough around the edges (chipped/black painted front splitter, slightly tatty hood etc) but mechanically spot on. When I bought it it had SP12's and a sports exhaust - lovely it was too, but I moved on to Cerbs!
