Savage switches
Discussion
Can anyone help me with this one... I have just finished wiring in a complete set of savage push button switches and the only one that's stumped me is the windscreen wiper one.
I have one push button that will only switch the wiper on or off but I'm guessing that the original factory switch has 2 speeds and possibly a flick for a single wipe, I'm only guessing as I don't have any factory switches and the factory has been waiting for stock of wiper motors for months now and so I don't have that either otherwise I would be able to work out the wiring.
So I have 2 questions, firstly can anyone tell me which colour wires at either the switch or motor end control which wiper speed and secondly, will my car pass its sva with only one wiper speed?
Cheers
Pete

I fitted savage (Apem switches) - as far as I recall you need at least 2 speeds for IVA (although you need to confirm that) - I've a sketch of what I did with the wiring somewhere in my build records, but basically I had a low speed switch and a high speed switch. See pic of my 2 switches - I temporarily labelled "1" and "2" with self adhesive dymo labels above them for IVA. I'll post wiring pic later once I find it! Hope that helps.
