It's a classic, so depends totally on the level and quality of the restoration. Canford Classics had a silver one up at 20k retail, perfectly drivable and usable car. Paul Stephens also sold a lovely usable E for 20k last year in Albert Blue.

Nut and bolt resto from similar could push 40k (low mile oddities excepted). Most examples somewhere in the middle.

Knock off 20-25% from those numbers for a private sale.

Just my opinion!

2.0? 2.2? 2.4? LHD? Rhd? Matching number? Coupe? Targa?

2.4 cars regularly make 60k in LHD.

I bought a sound 2.2 Targa two weeks ago for 10,750.

What engine size? Matters less nowadays, but 20 years ago the 2.4 was the one to go for. Easy cam change to bring it up to 190 bhpS power too...

Are you considering one OP?

I went from GT3 to 1970 2.2s and love it.

2.2 and 2.4 E both great cars and much better value than S given the high prices the latter now fetch. Just buy the absolute best you can afford - it pays off in the end and few cars realise anything like the amount you need for restoration, engine and box rebuilds etc.

Sam was that an E you bought for that money? Seems cheap. Matching numbers I guess would be preferable. Im not sure I know the real financial difference between a 2.2 and a 2.4. I spotted a 2.2 fully restored E on 911UK at 30k though the colour wasn't the best. Coupe is the prettiest

19,995, 22k inspected as above. And I know the car exists because I saw it in the car park in Goodwood Revival last summer!

22k was the price, but that wasn't my point, the point was it needed lots of rust repairs so wasn't lovely by anyone's understanding of the word!

2.2 E has 155bhp, S has 180bhp
2.4 E has 165bhp, S has 190bhp

They're old now though, so you'll regularly find them +/- 20bhp from there.
