Sorry if i have the wrong forum here. Just wondering what the best tyre pressure would be for Bridgestone Blizzak's Lm-25 on an Exige? Thanks!

Anyone got a rough idea? I can't seem to find an answer anywhere on the net?

Whats wrong with just putting the pressure that Lotus recommend for normal tyres?

Because looking at the difference betweem summer and winter tyres there seems to be a big difference in the psi recommended, perhaps i am wrong. Ive never been great at the technical aspects of cars, hence i would rather double check.

Go stock unless the handbook specifies otherwise.

Most people find a couple of PSI over stock helps with the extra roll.

Providing the winter tyre is the same size, use the same pressure as the same internal volume will need to be inflated.

I'm yet to see one vehicle manufacturer recommendation that states anything other than that - unless there's a staggered summer fitment and the winter spec if a square set-up.

Alfa 147 handbook states that winter tyres should be up two psi over normal.
Same size wheels and tyres summer and winter.

There's a fair few places i read winter tyres should be inflated more then normal, a quick google shows up a raft of websites, here's just one of the links - http://www.tirerack.com/winter/tech/techpage.jsp?t...

Just to make sure its not all season tyres i am talking about but proper winter tyres. If its stock i should be going then fair enough as long as it is whats best for the car and tyres, Thanks.

That's interesting. My BiL has one (54 plate) and there was no mention in his book when we looked it up.
Does it give a reason as to why it should be increased?

Some VAG handbooks say 0.2 bar over summer tyre pressures. Unlike the 147 mentioned earlier, my GTV6 says to use the same pressures.

Conti also recommend 2psi higher than summers, however it's all subjective.

As with any tyres, start at stock then play around (within reason) to find a balance you enjoy.

Bottom of page 305 (for an 04 plate).
It's actually 0.2 bar which is nearer 3psi.
No reason given.
