Cat D Lotus Elise S1
Discussion
Anyone got an idea what a S1 Lotus Elise which had a new chassis back in 2000 might be worth?
1998 original S1 in titanium grey, only 19k miles (genuine!), blue soft top, titanium grey hard top, head gasket & major service & S2 suspension kit last year, alcantara interior, with custom black/red trim. In very good condition. I've owned it for 10 years with no problems,
Thinking of selling but not sure on price.... Any ideas?

If it was repaired way back in 2000 and you have details of the repair work I don't think that it makes that much of a difference to it's value being a cat D.
So two identicle cars for sale, same price but one cat d & one not & you're not going to pick the car with no write off history
It might not make such a big difference after all this time but the difference will still be there

How can a 2 year old car that needs a new chassis be a Cat D and not Cat C ? If it was panel/clam damage, it wouldn't bother me, but a new chassis would make me wary.

This ^./my 2p.
Chassis damage is usually at minimum Cat B?
Cat D is usually not much more than cosmetic on 'Loti'?
