PH has no photo storage so you will have to upload to somewhere else like photobucket or flickr first.

There's Thumbsnap (who host the PH image upload feature).

Trouble is the iPhone's lack of web upload - everything has to be done through an app. I recently started using the smugmug app called Camera Awesome which, in addition to offering photo tuning and other camera features, also has upload to... functions for flickr, facebook etc. Once your photo's uploaded, it gives you the img/ page link for you to forward on or embed. Not ideal but might be a temporary workaround for the OP.
