help!!!!!

Hi everyone i am a newbie here i live near swindon in wiltshire and have just bought chassis number 6 m12 . I have a few questions if any one can help it would be much appreciated . Firstly my car is blue "what blue is it ?as i have to get the front sprayed because it looks like some one has shot it with a shotgun !!!.. Second the fat red wire that goes from the alternator to fuse box has melted ,has any one else had this problem ?.. What ampage should the wire be that i replace it with ?.. Should,nt there be a big red wire that goes from the alternator directly to the battery ? and finally what are the thin black,blue,purple,brown and brown and white wires that run with the big red wire that goes to the fuse box ?... any help would be fantastic ,cheers Dean

Heat damage to alternator wiring is a common fault. If you register as an owner on the Nobleparts forum you will be able to download the US build manual, complete with wiring diagrams.
