Today, at Waitrose, I encountered four youfs on bikes taking in interest in the Griff. “How much did you pay for your car mate, it's a TVR Griffith ain’t it ?”. Impressed, “Griffith” not “Griffin”. Got in the car and started up, I expected (and looked forward to) the standard “rev it”. But no, instead it was “Do a wheel spin mate”. Youngsters today, I dunno, a bloody disgrace.

What exactly is soo amusing about spinning the wheels from standing?

yeah, why do they think that it is cool.

i have been asked to spin the wheels too !

being a tight Chesterfield Derbyshire lad i asked for a fiver for the rubber!

over the weekend a group of 3/4 10 year olds were poking around the TVRs parked up at the custom car show/drag racing weekend at Thorney Island. One of them was saying to the others, "oh yeah, they look nice but these will break down before a Porsche does"

I was in the a petrol station the other day and group of private school boys on push bikes gave me the thumbs up and shouted "Nice car mate".

Better class of youth, appreciate nice cars

Yank cars can make the tyres squeal on grass, gravel, mud...

Just watch any episode of Dooks of Ha-zard, Cannon, Ironside, Cagney and Lacey, Petrocelli, Streets of San.... oh sh!t, now I'm showing my age...

That's true, I have NEVER owned a telly. However my parents had one when I was a kid, which is when those shows were on...
