Hoping somebody on here can offer some real world advice please ?

I guess Paypal have it all in their FAQ's, but I do wonder if they always tell the truth LOL

If I decided to transfer money to my bank account, how long would it take to show as cleared funds ?

Does it vary with different banks ?

Any real world experience appreciated - ta muchly :-)

Two weeks?????

Mine takes three working days.

Or you could get a Paypal Access Card, which allows you to withdraw your money instantly from any cash machine smile

It may only be available to business users or high volume sellers maybe?

Sorry I should have said, it was just over a year ago that I stopped using Paypal so they may have changed the withdrawal times since then.

I think I understand the OP's question. This morning I had an email from Paypal saying that any payments from people who'd bought from me will now be held for 21 days. This is because of my 'risk profile' apparently, despite having 100% positive feedback since 2003, and having NEVER needed to issue a refund.

Well frankly, Paypal and Ebay can get fked now. Combining this with their now-extortionate costs, I can't be bothered to sell there any more.

Have you sold many items recently? This only usually happens if you've not had a lot of recent transactions.

The money will be released within the 21 days if;

a) The buyers leaves positive feedback
b) The buyer confirms receipt of the item.

Also, as far as I'm aware, they haven't increased their fee's recently.

Yes, have sold a lot recently and all 100% positive feedback. However, I'm not prepared for Paypal to decide it is now an escrow without my consent, and with no obvious reason why.

As for fees, Ebay hiked selling fees to 10% a while back (from 3%).

My solution is simply not to give them my business any more.
