Hello everyone.
Just got mine back from service in prep for summer. Only one issue is that the DAB no longer works. I'm not too fussed because I think I've used it 4 times in three years wink, but I'd like to trace the problem if I can.
(I used to have an iPod control unit piggy-backed on but used that even less so have now removed it).
Anyway, the DAB unit itself has no power going in (tested with meter) so I don't think it's the unit itself - it is it's (lack of) supply. I have also checked the back of the radio and confirmed the BUS lead is firmly plugged in.
So if no power is going to the DAB in the boot, I'm assuming it's either got a fuse in line somewhere that's blown or that the DAB has it's own dedicated fuse in the fusebox.
Problem is I can't see a fuse in-line anywhere, nor hidden around the boot area.
Secondly, I can't seem to find a fuse diagram for my model anywhere (it would make more sense to plumb it into the fusebox from factory) so am not sure what or where the fuse should be.

Anyone know if there is a +ve lead fuse somewhere and where it is so I can check it?

Thanks

(It's a 2005 Tuscan S mkII which had the Pioneer DAB (GEX-P700DAB) as standard btw in addition to the Pioneer DEH-5600MP headunit).

Mine had the same setup from the factory.

If you pull the tangle of wires out, that are tucked inside the boot along with the DAB box, there should be a 2A inline fuse.
I think it takes its power feed from the number plate light or something equally bizarre (in the usual TVR way).

Zak showed me the pics of your car last week, nice job, you must be chuffed.

Thanks, yep - very happy with the job they did. Also running smoother than ever as I had the 12K service done at the same time.

Following your advice I took the rear panel off and removed as much of the wires as possible. Here it is after a tidy (2 long cables wrapped to reduce the tangle:

This was with the headlights on and you can see the right hand numplate plate light is working too so the grounding point for the DAB and -ve wiring leading to it must have been OK because the light was sharing the ground and working fine. I then followed the other wire from the power plug (which must have been ACC+) and it appears to be "joined" to the IP-BUS lead (the outer sleevings are joined together). Well, I couldn't see a fuse anywhere and ended up following that wire till my hand was just about reaching up and above the drivers rear wheel arch! - still no luck.

(The other box in the piccie is the Tracker (I think - not sure). I also used to have the iPod Control Unit piggy-backed onto the DAB in parallel for power and daisy chained via the DAB's IP-BUS out, but as you can see, I've now removed it).

Anyway, so I went to the cabin and thought I could see the same wire going towards the radio when looking up into the fusebox - so I removed the radio and pulled out the unit. I'd done this before with bro, so don't know why we didn't see it earlier, but voila, hidden a bit further back was a fuse holder holding a blown 2A glass fuse smile, which I replaced (managed to find spares in the garage):

...and now the DAB unit works (you can see it seeking stations here):

I say "seeking" because for some reason, the reception is rubbish & now I've done it, I'm not sure why I bothered as FM sounds much better biggrin

Cheers for the help.
