i know that there are quiet a few chassis being replaced or restored at the moment so i was wondering what are you guys replacing. i know that when you do a full body off fuel lines, break cables, engine mounts need to be replaced as they will be old and possibly damaged but what else.

i'm in the process of costing out the job for myself. basicly i need a couple of other bits doing to the car such as new carpets so i'm just trying to work out a ball park figure.

any help would be more than appreciated.

thanks

Hi Shaun, I am doing a four corners refurb with body on. The story so far is.
All wishbones shot blasted and powder coated.
New bushs.
Brake hoses.
Top and bottom ball joints.
Track rod ends.
Fuel pump.
Fuel filter.
All oils changed.
All bolts replaced.
CV joints rebuilt and repacked with grease and boots changed.
Steering rack gaitors changed.
Chassis rails cleaned and repainted.
Pressurised fuel lines changed.
Outriggers cleaned painted and Dinitrolled.
Everything metal cleaned prepared and painted.
Sump gasket changed.
Etc etc. Probably about ten days so far with another ten to put it all back together. Should be well worth it in the end. Do it properly and do it once.
Good luck Richard.
