OK sad I know but I amuse myself at traffic lights loooking at tyres on adjacent cars and shaking my head at the C##P tyres people cut corners on cost and put on powereful decent cars but had to laugh yesterday when a police Panda car drew up next to me with Dunlop SP FAST RESPONSE tyres just about wet myself at how apt the name was for car.

I am guilty of this - have got 4 complete ditchfinders on the Zed at the moment - only bought the car in January with 4 new tyres on - dealer wasn't for taking some cash and fitting what I wanted and I am loathe to chuck out brand new tyres when the car isn't really getting thrashed anyway.

Will be putting some new rubber on for the summer though smile

I can see how it's less important on a shopping car getting driven by old Mrs Finchpie at 15mph but there's an XKR that sits on Ingram St round from my office proudly wearing a set of Wanli tyres.

Most huge SUVs with 20" rims seem to have cheapo replacement tyres on them too, not ideal for stopping 2 ton of metal in the rain!
