Does she find getting in/out of vehicle easy? How big/old are the grand kids? How many doors do they need? She is 70, wants an auto, needs to have room for grand kids etc !

Would something like an Auto Toyota Rav4 3 door be any good? Compact to park, easy to see out, room inside and the extra height can make it easier to get in and out of.

Honda Jazz?
The wifes grandparents had an A-class and I wasn't impressed one bit tbh.
THIS. So much THIS ^^^^^^The wifes grandparents had an A-class and I wasn't impressed one bit tbh.
Know 3 times couples with them, all used for bimbling around town, and kid carrying etc. Cheap, frugal, reliable, safe, comfy if you're not the BFG, and tree-hugging lentalists won't burn their bras either when you park outside the oxfam office

A class, like all Mercs from 1990 onwards..... Designed for people who buy new cars every 12 months, the poor sods who buy them second hand can't afford the extortionate repair costs when they start going wrong (which they do, A lot....).
My misses has an A class and the only thing that's gone wrong with it in 2 years, is the Coil pack. I b*tch to change but £80, plus normal servicing and it's been great. (2002 year) Great for access as well.
