My classified adverts ''rejected by PH'' - why ??
Discussion
As per subject, can you please explain. On clicking the link i was transferred to a phishing notice which seems to allege that i have been acting in an illegal fashion ?
your comments would be appreciated as i spent a long time uploading different registration ''adverts'' along with unique pictures to the classifieds & they have all been deleted bar one.
Please only reply if you are PH staff
Regards

Hello,
I'm sorry if you haven't received a response. As I said, you can advertise the number plate in more than one section, but I assumed you realised that you (like all every other members) would be limited to three adverts, rather than the 13 you posted. Sorry if you were not aware of this limit, but I think this is fair given the service we provide.
The message you have seen would be left when any advert is removed from the site and is in no way an implication that you have done anything wrong. I think anyone who has dealt with you would know nothing on that page applies to you.
The sad fact is we do get fraudulent adverts submitted to our site, like every other classifieds site, and we do everything we can to make sure our customers don't fall victim to them. So, when any advert is removed a link to our fraud page is left in its place. We want people to read this, because we don't want them to get scammed. This is aimed at spreading awareness throughout the community. The more people understand how scammers work the better.
Hope this all makes sense and you understand why we do it. If you would like me to reinstate two of your adverts tell me where you want them and I'll do that for you.

Ok well im not going to complain, although i would point out that i have been advertising this plate for the last year in the different sections and it has not been picked up by the admin ?
Has there been a recent change of policy as your initial email (that you sent a year back) never highlighted the 3 rule limit ?

There was a complaint made by one of our users, due the advert being repeated through multiple sections. Our system is setup slightly differently for parts & plates than it is for car adverts. However, if we allow you to advertise in all the sections we are setting a precedent for everyone else to do the same thing, and we could end up with a site full of duplicate adverts. I stress, I think three sections is fair enough, but 13 seems a bit much. I have noted that our FAQs makes no mention of the three advert limit so we’ll get that updated, and I should have made that clear to you at the time.
Strange there was a complaint - i don't see why it would bother anyone unless they had some ulterior motive like a competitor who is also advertising it on their registration site and gets a commission on the sale (as is the case with one).. Sounds questionable.
IMO the registration categories appeal and will be viewed by different audiences, so its not straight forward repetition 13 times as you suggest.

Adverts are private individuals only? Not traders? secret2012 said:

With respect that is an inane post. I am a private individual not a trader so... ?
But your comments seems to clash somewhat.
If you're really a private seller then why are you concerned by competitors and commissions etc...? OR is your first post possibly some reference to an imaginary situation?
Either ways can you guess that I agree with the PH mods, 13 ads is taking the piss and I can appreciate why someone would report it after coming across the same advert repeatedly as they're browsing the classifieds.
Why don't you mind your own business instead of being a p*** ? I am not a trader, my comments do not clash & if you understand how registration sales work (or owned one) you will get it + 13 ads in different categories reaches 13 different groups of people..
Why are you interested in this thread to begin with - have you nothing better to do with your time ?!?!
EDIt : its not me who gets the commission you plonker, its the person advertising my plate !! Its how the resale market works if you sell through a ''dealer''
