Hi guys.
After a long time gawking and drooling over pictures and videos of Cerbs on the internet, I've recently decided that I might just go ahead and actually buy one.
I've got a real longing to sit in that drivers seat, start her up and feel what one drives like. My heart craves one. After a while thinking "I'll just have to buy one", my senses came to me and I realised that I don't have to own one to get the Cerb experience. So before I buy one, I'd really like to be driven in / drive one myself.
So i'm calling all friendly Cerb owners in the east of England. I live in Norfolk and would love to meet up with a Cerb owner within 50 miles of me to have a look around one, and be driven in one, and perhaps even have a go in one myself (under strict supervision of course). I'm over 25 so there shouldn't be any insurance problems right? If there is then I could call my insurance company and get a one day cover note.
I know these forums are full of friendly TVR enthusaist owners and I would absolutely love it if someone could show me round their TVR at some point.
Any help would be appreciated.

You will probably find loads of owners only too happy to take you out for a ride but I doubt many would offer a drive of one. They're like our babies you see;)

I'm happy to let a fellow Cerb owner who I trust to drive mine,,,,, but not some one who's never driven one before.
The Cerbera will bite back !!! if you take a liberty with it.

I have checked on Autotrader for ones for sale near me. There aren't any very close, and even then the ones that are for sale are private sales and all tend to say "no joyriders". So my request to show up and "have a look" would probably be frowned upon.Even if there was a dealer near me I wouldn't imagine they'd entertain my request to have a test drive of one. Unless they were sure they'd get a sale I don't think they'd give me the time of day.

When I was looking at buying TVRs I had no problem getting a test drive. Just go to a dealer, have a good look & a chat. People don't buy cars without driving them. As long as you're genuine I don't see a problem.PuffsBack said:

I completely understand not being able to have a drive. If I owned one, I definitely wouldn't let anyone else drive it. Was worth an ask though

Sunday should be fine, only issue is the weather as mine is a complete garage queen and only comes out should there be zero chance of it getting wet
