These cars were owned by my wife's grandfather and great grandfather - my mother in law asked me if I could identify them.

I think the little two seater is a Riley, judging from the shape of the bonnet badge. The shape initially made me think it was Morris 8 derived, but the badge is just completely wrong for this. I haven't really got much of a clue about the veteran, although something about it makes me think it might be French - maybe a Darracq or a Renault. Anybody got any better ideas?!!

I think the top one is a Standard of some kind. Looks like a standard badge and they are one of only a few cars I can think of that have horizontal bonnet louvers.

Agreed, looks like a Standard (definitely not a Riley).
