Front Disc Brakes

I'm going to need a new set soon but looking on the usual suppliers there are 2 types available. 53mm height and 58mm height both are 260 diameter.
How do I tell what I have on my car. Where is the 53/58 measured from???

matt - not sure where the measurement is from but I have a complete front brake set 260mm disks, pads and calipers removed from my griff 500 last summer when I upgraded. it would probably be cheaper to fit those instead of just buying new disks. PM me if interested. cheers Jes

Thanks Jes but there's nothing wrong with my 500 calipers just got a warped disc and want to upgrade to slotted rotors.

Matthew this is the depth of the"bell" offset to the disc I believe when I did mine I bought sierra cosworth 4x4 discs and they were different to those fitted but the calliper had 2 spacers approx 5mm so I removed one of those from each calliper mount and was spot on

If it helps Matt, I've got 500 front brakes on mine and I know the front rotors are EBC GD150
You should be able to find the spec of these fairly easily on the net.

OK Guys I think mine are 58mm as I have no spacers on my calipers but will measure them on the weekend.
