I saw a TV advert for www.goodgaragescheme.com today, took a look and had a search on their website and checked out their recommended garages in my area.....

What resulted was a surprise.......

Near the top of their list of recommended premium rated garages was one that, to all in the know locally, avoid like the plaque due to their inventing of faults and the mis-leading of non-savvy customers !!!! redcard

As with other trade organisations and websites, in many cases cowboy companies or individuals hide behind these endorsements and the displaying of logos of such organisations, so luring customers into a false sense of security.

BEWARE, THEY'LL HAVE YOUR TROUSERS DOWN AND SHAFT YOU QUICKER THAN YOU CAN SAY KY JELLY!!!

The Crack Fox said:
The scheme is flawed. Garages encourage you to complete a feedback form, but only submit the good ones, the rest get binned. The resultant 'rating' is therefore skewed.
Marvellous.

My understanding is that the feedback cards are given to the customers to take away.

Customer sends card to GGS directly (which is administered by Forte) who then upload the details onto their website.

GGS then send the completed feedback cards back to the participating garage.
