Anyone see the Horizon the other day on BBC? (mods - this is Not and tv and film thread!)

Interesting theory re: 20 second bursts of Really Intense cycling.

Beats hours on te treadmill.

Yep. Not exactly 'new' I'm afraid.
HIIT has been quite popular among some circles for years, because it works.

On a similar note, did you see last night's Horizon - The Truth About Fat? Very disappointing - nothing new and very limited in its scope.

I watched this.

I've been advocating for a fair few years for massive fat loss, weight lifting followed by HIIT training.

I've seen truly spectacular results in myself and others who have done similar now.

Thanks, got a background of Powerlifting & trying to do Kickboxing circuits now to keep the fat off(mid 40's now so things are slowing down! . rolleyes . )

Not far off, just got to drink less me thinks. thumbup
Tend to follow the principle of, 'if it doesn't hurt, train it!' hehe
