Leather off cut.

Need a 2cm piece of leather to send up to furniture clinic for a colour sample.Where would be the best place to find this.....Have tried the front seats but there is no spare to be had here...any ideas welcome.

Take the helmet holder out, there may be some to be had off the back seats

There s currently a cerbera in bits next to mine, I will have a look tomorrow for you,, it might save you the trouble in pulling yours apart

the finish under my front seats is lets say not neat infact there is more glue under there than leather.Think my trimmer lost his tools the day mine was built and used his teeth.oh well they look fine when they are bolted in suppose thats the main thing.

There is a largish flap of leather on the underside of each seat that is used to tension the bolster. The downside of it is that you will have to unbolt the seat to get at it. Another alternative is the leather below the back window, accessible by taking the helmet holder out. Failing that, the trim behind the door on either side will pop out of the door seals easily enough, that is a fibreglass panel wrapped in leather, there is some spare on the back of that if I remember rightly.

Mine has barely any spare back there! Finished to better tolerances.

Ive had a look at a cerb in bits today,, there was plenty of leather behind the helmet holder
