I've just been out and done the irrational thing and bought myself a T350T and here it is.

I've had a TVR before. A 400se but only had it for a couple of months, as I couldn't sell my old car, so had to let he 400se go. So fast forward 6 years and many other car I'm back to wanting a TVR. So I put a wanted ad up on there and someone got in contact on the Friday and I'd bought the car on the Saturday. All I can say it's the best car I've ever purchased, it's perfect. I've spent 2 days fixing all the little problems and another 2 days cleaning it. And still have a nice little list of more jobs to do. I really like working on my cars, so the TVR is perfect for me. Before the T350 I had a Elise S1 sport160. When I sold that I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find something to replace it, But the TVR has replaced it 10 times over. I think TVR's must be in the blood as my uncle has 3. It such a great feeling when you turn the key and the speed 6 bursts into life, big smile. Then after a sedate and long warm up drive, you can unleash the epic sound and power of the speed 6 and laugh like a child. At the moment it has some old Goodyears on the back that are hard and have little grip. So the car feels like it's about rip your head off as the revs flare and you lose all traction. These I'm going to change soon, so taking it easy in the meantime. Coming from a little 1.8 k series, which had lots of character with its lumpy idle. The speed 6 has spades full more character. I'm sure it'll be a love hate relationship, but when it's more hate. I can come back and read this thread and forget all the cars little foibles.

So I've got lots of reading to do in here and in the S6 forum, which will keep me entertained for many hours.

Looks a beaut, my 1st Tiv was a T350c and I loved it to bits, was very sad when it went to its new home. Looks like pretty good weather this worked too for you to get out and enjoy it! Will you make it to chatsworth this year?

Thanks to everyone for there kind words. I'm really pleased with my purchase.

The only T350 I've seen around Beaconsfield was a chameleon green one. This was a good few years ago. It's sounds like there are a good few dotted around the local area.

Where's the most local TVR meet?

Nice car!! Congrats. Glad you found a good one.

I've just bought myself a T350C a few weeks ago and am going through the same stuff! (Emotions and little jobs wise).
I changed the tyres in the first few days, and its made a huge difference. Before I was getting to 5000rpm in 2nd and it was lighting them up. I'm actually a bit disapointed it doesn't do that anymore!
It does go to show how old tyres give up their grip, not just when worn down, but when still perfectly legal too. I know a chap who insists on knowing the batch numbers of tyres before he buys them, so he can find out their date of manufacture.

Have you started a little wish list of upgrades yet? I'd advise you stay away from the Speed Six forum before posters like Don1 et al start giving you ideas... Above all, don't speak to the very nice and helpful guys down at RG! They have more tempting ways of parting you with your money than you can shake a stick at... "Engine rebuit to 4.3l and new FFF head, sir?". "Would you like to try one we prepared earlier, sir?". "Hold on a moment, sir. We'll start her up for you"

Whatever you do, don't take it for a test drive.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/4.gif

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for you in Beaconsfield, I'll be in the Silver one.

We meet in the Oxford region on the 1st Thursday of the month at the Black Horse pub about 7-7.30. They do good food so some of us eat! Come & join us it's a good group of people, fantastic mix of cars, and a top RO. What more do you need?

Hi Tom

Your new toy looks amazing matey. I also had a T350c and miss it still to this very day. I will hopefully one day buy my old T350c back.

But in the meantime I have to settle for the Youtube Sag. Enjoy the car and make shure you choose a top garage to look after your pride an joy.
