I've just been out and done the irrational thing and bought myself a T350T and here it is.

I've had a TVR before. A 400se but only had it for a couple of months, as I couldn't sell my old car, so had to let he 400se go. So fast forward 6 years and many other car I'm back to wanting a TVR. So I put a wanted ad up on there and someone got in contact on the Friday and I'd bought the car on the Saturday. All I can say it's the best car I've ever purchased, it's perfect. I've spent 2 days fixing all the little problems and another 2 days cleaning it. And still have a nice little list of more jobs to do. I really like working on my cars, so the TVR is perfect for me. Before the T350 I had a Elise S1 sport160. When I sold that I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find something to replace it, But the TVR has replaced it 10 times over. I think TVR's must be in the blood as my uncle has 3. It such a great feeling when you turn the key and the speed 6 bursts into life, big smile. Then after a sedate and long warm up drive, you can unleash the epic sound and power of the speed 6 and laugh like a child. At the moment it has some old Goodyears on the back that are hard and have little grip. So the car feels like it's about rip your head off as the revs flare and you lose all traction. These I'm going to change soon, so taking it easy in the meantime. Coming from a little 1.8 k series, which had lots of character with its lumpy idle. The speed 6 has spades full more character. I'm sure it'll be a love hate relationship, but when it's more hate. I can come back and read this thread and forget all the cars little foibles.

So I've got lots of reading to do in here and in the S6 forum, which will keep me entertained for many hours.

Top work! I'd seen your wanted thread and it appeared to be the quickest/easiest sale in history!

Wow! Prefer the 350 to the Sag, just has so much more class.
Great looking motor, I'm a fan of the Sp6!

Yes that would've been me. Taking my uncle out for a spin. Need to get someone to drive it down the road, so I can see what it sounds like for myself smile.

Thanks to everyones kind words. I'm really happy with the car. Off up to Suffolk at the weekend. A tad nervous about the journey as my throttle cable has frayed, hope it doesn't break on me. How long does it usually take for Racing Green to send out parts? I guess they've not sent it yet as they've not taken the money out of my account yet.

welcome! Nice to see another T350 in Bucks.

May need to start a 'fastest spot since buying car' thread!

That's the first time I've been spotted and it wasn't even in one of my TVRs frown

Great drive out and fantastic car.

That is absolutely stunning. My fav TVR in the best colour combo. Well done you! I'm due to pick up my "new" Griff tomorrow from Str8six, also dark red, and can't wait. Had the same model 10 years ago so going in with eyes open! Still nervous as hell though! In a good way.
