We haven't seen him for a few years now...

Hopefully the Gould Puma will be back this year; it missed last years event after a small mishap at a hillclimb.

We still have places available, especially in the handicap, which anyone can run in. You just need a National B Speed Licence which you can get from the MSA without restrictions (no medicals or anything needed), and a race suit, helmet and gloves. See here for details:

Not that I've renewed mine for this year, but does a National A (or B) Race licence suffice or does it need to specifically be a Speed licence? Will have a go at this one day.

'race' licence is fine smile

Hi all,

Never been to this event before and always seem to miss it. Appears to be some very interesting cars on the list... What is it like for a spectator? Do you get to see much and get close to the cars. Any advice would be great?

You can wander through the paddock, and see everything smile

Very unlike other events.

Gents,

I'm thinking of making the trip to the trials this Saturday if the weather is good.

Never been before, looks like it's great for spectators but what's the spectator parking like, is it any good for parking my pride and joy? (e.g. don't want to leave it in a Tesco style car park if you get my drift!)

Not really geared up for parking P&J's to be honest. In the early days I used to park up one of the back roads but now most areas within a 10/15min walk are all residential so easiest and cheapest(free) parking now is in the multi story at the Marina and then wander along the sea front.

Definately worth making the effort to come along though and weather is looking great smile
