Car Finance from Isle of Man

As I have already mentioned I have lurked for a while.
I am the owner of a rahter delightful 1973 911T and have looked at diversifying further.
I had heard that a certain Bank in the IOM was able to help finance older cars, and made investigations.
Initially I was greeted with more enthusiasm than one could wish for, but then it all tailed off - the proposal was still outstanding etc., days rolled on, then after a period of 13 days I was finally advised the vehicle did not "suit" their portfolio.
To say I was peeved was an understatement - I had wasted a lot of my time answering a lot of what can be described as "churlish" questions and then was left still trying to conclude my purchase. I was only requesting some 40% of the purchase price/value !
Has anyone else had issues with this institution ( I have purposely not mentioned them by name in case I infringe PH rules etc.), but when one has been led soooooo far up the garden path and provided everything they have asked for - to be let down at the last minute is just not right.
I very, and I mean very, nearly lost the car in question but I was aided by a most professional outfit who secured the funding, and at the same time the car, and I am now a happy if not very relieved owner of my childhood dream - well one of them !
