The big V8 diesel is dropped entirely

Not esp. happy with Merc, the top diesel will be the 350 V6 and its a jelly baby compared to the V8. Love that engine.

Will just happy to replace it with a heavily depreciated 63 in 3 yrs time instead...debadge and the wife wont realise

Im in the same position. Was really tempted by the new ml but the 350 is a step too far. Looks like the next misses Aeroresh wagon will have to be petrol v8!

yeah, a step too far in the wrong direction!

I've got the 350 motor in my E class cab (with Brabus D6S upgrade to 313hp) and its quick enough, however in a heavy lump like the ML is not going to give the same kick.

New ML63 will be depreciating nightmare for at least another couple of years so my money's on either an 18 mnth old old Range Rover 5.0 at the moment or perhaps a Cayenne Turbo, etc?

No decent V8 diesel in the line up means its definately a step backwards for Mercedes.

Totally agree.

I was hoping one would come along in a year or so but it looks like they are history.

I have a 60 plate 450 and the engine is absolutely brilliant.

I am totally at a loss as to what to get next and will be more than happy to keep it for much longer than normal.

Great car, great engine and shame there isn't a new one.

We would be looking to change in 3 yrs. So the 63 will have depreciated nicely by then to about £27k which will be smack on for our replacement

The v8 diesel must have been low in demand for some reason or too high on emissions. I have the 350 bluetec engine in my G wagen and am very impressed with it indeed. Was thinking at the start of the brabus chip but it really doesn't need it. Sat in the new ml in the showroom this week and was impressed...they've done well with the interior.
