Tips for the cheapest? Around £24k over 5 years. I would get a 3 year PCP but the rates seem to be higher.

Don't let the rate sway you on a PCP, it's all about payment on them. The RV could give you lower one depending on what car it is.

OK so i should qualify, i'm not a complete numpt.

have been to my bank but as they are RBS they are always uncompetitive. I have checked money saving expert but there are only a handful of choices. Moneysupermarket always seems the best, but lately they have changed their search so it only returns like 2 results and a load of "we did not check this provider" messages for the rest. They used to return loads of results and i'm sure they were from all sorts of providers, and a lot cheaper.

The car is a Jag XF, £27k with a £3k deposit. When I checked a few months ago 5 year loan was about £50 a month cheaper than a 3 year PCP

HSBC have extended their 6.2% rate until May I think. Sainsburys and Tesco also offer a similar rate.

i am pretty sure that to get anywhere near the low 6's i would need to borrow less than £15k; which i'm not
