well plan A didnt work, with the petitions and just a few people protesting, the chancellor is still increasing the fuel price and going to make more money out of us .63p per £. it doesnt matter about the cost of fag's and drink because it's up to you and me if we waste money on them, but fuel isnt we all NEED it, why are we just sitting back and letting them get away with it, whats happened to the old days when lorrys block roads etc, anyone got any idea's, or is it just me banging my head on the wall.

I`m gonna enquire with the drivers how one gets such an conversion and if there are implications regarding the manufacturers warranty.

Guy Fawkes had the right idea but it didn't end so well for him.

Don't know about you, but so far in my life it has been entirely up to me (directly or indirectly) whether or not I get a driving license, buy a car, fill it with fuel.

Of course, it could be (correctly) argued that fuel is far more useful than alcohol or cigarettes, but for me the overriding reason for driving is enjoyment, much like with a pint of beer.

I've been commuting by EV for just about a year now, and only use my car at the weekend. However, I'm going on a touring holiday next week in my 540i and I think I might start to feel the pain!

The roads are far too crowded. That would indicate to me that fuel is too cheap.

I'd happily pay £5 a litre if it meant a 30% reduction in traffic.

Funny. It indicates to me that our public transport system is not fit for purpose.

Anti-terror laws were not around last time we had a fuel strike.

Sorry to rain on the parade but the country is still massively in debt and only barely clawing its way back toward the black. I am against high fuel prices as much as the next man, however, bear in mind that if the tax isn't put on fuel then it'll be on income tax or somewhere else. At least with fuel you can choose not to use it!

It could also (correctly) be argued that the cost of fuel is part of the cost of everything you buy, from your bus ticket to your groceries, to your TV. The price of fuel about far more than how much it costs to fill your tank. It really is a stty tax.

Of course you would. Are you Bill Gates or someone else with similar disposable income?
