dating my engin e k series rover

hi,having trouble getting hold of any info to date my engine k series rover lump,with the rover factory gone no info from there,british motor heritage couldnt help,,any idea,s

What size is it 1.4, 1.6 ?
Is the inlet manifold plastic or metal?
Does it use a distributor cap ?

There are loads of different variants of the k-series engine.
