Drove into work today and for a moment I thought I'd been suddenly afflicted with cataracts! Panic ensued. But thankfully, there were illuminated signs on the motorway advising me that it was just that there was "Fog" around. Such a relief! What a valuable task these signs perform, how on earth could we manage without them?

Up my way (Scotland) you can tell it's foggy because the general motoring populace spontaneously start driving like they are in a rally stage: All lights on and 90 miles an hour.
That's how everyone drives down here, all the time. When it's foggy they start crashing into each other. Maybe they missed the "Fog" signs and didn't realise...
By the way I used to live in Aberdeen, so I know all about the fog up there (or rather the "haar" coming in off the North Sea)... down here they don't know what REAL fog is!
