I'm trying to learn how I can stream films from Netflix / Lovefilm to my TV.

I have a TV (Samsung - 4 years old) with Freeview and am considering buying a Freesat+ PVR from Humax or Samsung - other recommendations welcomed.

I can download/stream films to my laptop and view on the TV via HDMI but that is untidy and suited to occasional use only.

The PVRs have an ethernet connector and some have wifi capability/dongles.

My question is threefold:
1. Can I buy a box now that will easily allow me to view films online?
2. Should I buy a box now or should I wait for XYZ feature that will be on the next generation next month?
3. Is there a better way?

Thanks in advance.

PS3/Xbox 360 will do it. Think Apple TV has a film service on with it as well.

Thanks.

I probably wasn't clear enough on this.

I want to get PVR capability and am keen to be able to stream films as well.

I don't want to buy a Freesat+ 500Gb box today and find that an alternative (perhaps tomorrow) would have enabled me to record TV and stream films too.

You could build a MythTV based system that will do both.
I'm not aware of any device that supports Freesat/lovefilm/netfix at the same time.

Edit - PS3 has a tuner option - PlayTV does Freeview.

Any Blu-ray player with network capability can do this.
