I was at the DVLA Auction today. TVR 1T went to an online bidder. Anyone on PH, or was it a speculator?
Should look great on the right car. Congratulations!

The reg went for £2,100 off a guide of £700. Fees would have been an additional £250-£300. BTW, I'm not breaking any rules here as all of the hammer prices are made public on the DVLA website.

You reminded me that I forgot to check this auction listing out, just got the 'unsold lots' email and just bought a plate at reserve.

Congratulations, I hope it's one your pleased with, especially at reserve price! Can't believe somebody paid nearly £6k for TUL 15A. I guess that one's going down to Essex!

No mate. I would have, had there been little interest, but there were a few owners in the room plus online plus the odd telephone bidder. I went up just out of interest. I think it went for an OK price really, for a plate that would look pretty good on a Tiv. I thought it might go for a lot more when I noticed so many owners in the room. You going out to play in your new toy this fine weekend?

I bet one of those reg companies 'bagged it' to make a profit by doubling the price! After all you did say it was a on line bid! Just like TVR 1A and TVR 1B which came up for auction with in the last year - a few months later up they popped for silly money and I believe are still for sale? Am I surprised.

Then again, I hope I am proved wrong and was brought by a TVR enthusiast and not someone wishing to 'totally' inflate the price and putting it out of reach to the realistic market for us TVR guys!

Are all 'unsold lots' offered at reserve or only a select few? Do you need to register somewhere to receive this email?

Cheers

Not playing with my new toy this weekend. I'm off for a few days next week therefore I will get my fix of the car then. The car will be in at xworks for a service and MOT on Thursday. Looking to move my plate onto the Tuscan soon and enjoying the summer starting at Chatsworth.

Bring it on!

Well I thought I'd bought it!
ollowed the instructions, got a temporary bidder number, selected the plate and hit 'buy it'.
Heard nothing and so emailed them - they confirmed that succesfull bidders would get an email by cop today. Well nothing has arrived yet so am not convinced its mine....
