Trulli to Ferrari by Silverstone?

That's what I think anyway.
It works on several levels - he would take a race-by-race deal leaving Ferrari free to sign Kubica for 2013, Perez wouldn't jump ship without a longer term contract and Sutil is a non-starter due to his criminal record making it hard for him to get a visa for places like America and China.
He's Italian, which will generate some good PR back at home and help to get the media off the back of the rest of the team.
He has recent race experience, knows the tyres, and could be quick in a decent car. His problem at TL was a massive lack of motivation but a red car would make all the difference.
Finally, the most important one, Massa clearly isn't doing the business and unless something is done about it heads will have to roll at a higher level which isn't a worthwhile sacrifice when he'll be out at the end of the year anyway.

If you think Trulli-The-Tail-End-Trundler is worth putting back in the car you must be mad! May as well ask Mansell, Irvine, or even Luca Badour to step in.
Massa is doing as good a job as anyone will in the '2nd' car, they have produced a tricky car, all the focus will be on Alonso until they get the car working.

Everyone seems to be saying this, but why would he leave Sauber for a short term contract at Ferrari. Kubica will be there for 2013 so they need someone to fill in short term. Alcy-sweary is off to McLaren or Mercedes any day now so I don't see him going to Ferrari either.Can't see Trulli getting the seat.
I think Perez would be foolish to go there.
I also don't see it happening, doesn't Slim whassisname give Sauber a fair wedge of cash ? therefore if Perez was to go to Ferrari Sauber would need to replace that cash somehow ?
Trulli is mentioned because the Italian press are out for a lynching and what better to stick an Italian in the car to pacify them ? Not totally sure its a good idea though.
Montoya is busy with sprint cup, he has 32 more races left this year..
Sutil is also being mentioned but may have travel visa problems due to his conviction ?
As I mentioned on another thread Ferrari need a development driver that can sort that mess of a car out. Alonso can simply drive round most problems to "make do". I suggested Davidson. Paffett is tucked up at Merc on a cushy deal, so isn't going anywhere.

Bottas has been around a while now, Williams may be prepared to let him drive the Ferrari to give him some experience

Perez is quick and already connected with Ferrari through their development programme - he is essentially already a Ferrari driver and just waiting his time to step up to the team.
