Has anyone been to this pub? Stumbled across it today and had a few drinks in the beer garden, food from the menu certainly read very well and wouldn't mind trying it for a meal in the future, anyone have a review to offer?

I went some time ago and was impressed, and have continued to see good reviews since. You've reminded me to go back!

Chef's ex Manoir and runs it with his wife - it gets less publicity than the other newish Oxford Gastropub the Magdalen Arms, but is more consistent, it seems.

Gastropub, that's the term I was looking for to sum it up biggrin Thankyou, interesting to see the chef has a bit of weight in his track record. I've yet to go to the Magdalen Arms either, although it'll no doubt be somewhere on the list below The Black Boy.. smile
