Project C.A.R.S.
Discussion
For anyone using and subscribing to this rather superb WIP sim, the latest build includes a few new tracks.
This one is great. It reminds me of the first (and many would say only decent) Need For speed game. You can't beat a 20 kilometers coastal blat in a V8 atom

I know it's still in very early dev, but I think it's just complete cack. Steering is so laggy it makes Slightly Mad's other abomination Shift 2 seem positively electric in its steering responses. And yes it does look quite pretty, but that's no good if even on all the lowest graphics settings a pc with 1gb of VRAM drops to about 6 fps everytime I go past the pit buildings on the Imola circuit..
These kind of games will seriously suck if they are not running at a decent FPS.I'm still on a P4 with a reasonable 560ti GPU here and with a bit of messing about on the settings front, I now have it looking and running like a dream mostly. There isn't a race game I don't have on PC or console and imho this is as good as any of the others. It's well worth spending some time tweaking to get it right!
It's really coming along. I hated it at first, and even got banned from the forums, but I got back in, and it's already a very different game. Still not a sim yet, and the FFB isn't great on Fanatec whees, but I can run it at 5700x1080 at 60fps, and it's really getting there.
Looks fab, drives OK, worth the money now as it's showing promise.

The handling physics/ffb still needs alot of work but it's getting there. It looks the dogs nads too.
