Washer Question,

Anyone know what the little plastic bit is that comes through the grill next to the wiper, that the flexi hose connects too.
Mine has broken and i get a jet of water squirting 5 foot up when i try the wash wipe quite good for showering motorist who persist to drive up my tail pipes.....

brings back memories, I did that in an old company car, I never really saw the use for rear washers, and it was more fun squirting the car behind in a traffic jam...simple things I guess!

One of mine snapped off on my last Griff-I got a replacement from the factory,although I'm sure Halfords probably do some kind of straight connector as well.
Unfortunately,the washer pipe on mine had also disappeared inside the wiper box-so I had to cut a rectangular hole in the front of the box,to allow enough access for my fingers to reattach the pipe(top tips from the factory!)I then sealed the hole up afterwards with a neat coverplate.

BB, the one near to the washer bottle is a non-return valve.Maybe the one near the grill is the same?

The bit that goes through the metal perforated grill, just below the windscreen,was just a plastic straight through washer tube connector with a grommet.

That bit is from a Peugeot 405 I think.
if not then try a Ford Escort (mk3).

The reason I know this is because after the scrap heap challenge at PistonFest I went and took the pipes of the cars because mine had just split on the Griff. i noticed these fittings were the same.

Haulfrauds dont do them butthey do a tree way on and a right angled one and a non return valve on........... but not a straight through one.
