Has anybody installed the Russian Firmware onto their 300D, which enables some additonal functionality found on the 10D ( details here ) ?

If yes, have you experienced any problems ? I'm thinking about doing it but just need some reassurance before I go ahead.

Try www.dpreview.com - plenty of people there will have done it.

I've done it. Very easy, camera still works You do get a lot of extra features in the menus, some are useful, some aren't really. Apparently you can put the canon firmware back on easilly enough in the event that you need to return the camera, as long as it will still power on.

NB - If you try it and it doesn't work, sorry but its not my fault

Thanks - really just worried whether it affects any exisiting functionality rather than anything process related. Not seen any bad press so its going on tonight.

Let us know how you get on because mine will be next in the pipeline if all goes well.

Nope, everything works the same as ever it did, there are just more things to mess with.
